When We Use This Byline

We use the shared byline when:

  • Several editors or writers materially created an article together
  • A guide has been substantially expanded and maintained by several hands over time
  • An institutional guide or recurring feature is genuinely team-produced
  • A legacy article was materially rebuilt and reliable records do not support naming one individual author

We do not use it when:

  • One identifiable writer did the work; their own name goes on it
  • Someone reviewed an article; reviewers are credited separately
  • An expert is quoted; that is a From The Expert credit, not authorship
  • Someone hosted, photographed, or styled; they receive the matching media credit

Work published under a named writer stays under that writer's name; we do not move it to this byline.
