Lauren Gilmore has been in the hair industry since 2010. She trained at the JET Hairdressing Academy, earning her Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing, and came up through three of the UK's best-known salon groups: an apprenticeship at Toni & Guy, a traineeship at Mahogany, and nearly four years as a Style Director at Rush Hair.

Today she works as a freelance hairstylist and educator out of FAYES salon in Basildon. As a qualified assessor, internal quality assurer, and curriculum lead, she runs her own courses and writes training manuals and resources for other stylists.

Lauren specializes in hair extensions and hair loss. In recent years her focus has been hair loss through cancer and other illnesses, an area she has strengthened with formal study in trichology.
