Roman writers reportedly described the Celts as wearing hair knotted like snakes. In ancient Egypt, royal families not only adopted the dreadlock but also used dreadlocked wigs as archaeological discoveries have revealed.
Dreadlocks are considered sacred by the Indian religious preachers since it has its origin with the holy Lord Shiva. In China, too, noblemen and ascetics wore dreadlocks combined with long fingernails, renouncing all earthly attachments. Among Rastafarians, the dread in dreadlocks originally referred to the fear of the Almighty.
How to Twist Asian Hair
