Jewel Flores studied cosmetology at the Career Development Center in Longmont, Colorado, then earned her Colorado hairstylist license and started her career in Denver. She knew from the beginning that she wanted to cater to all hair textures, so she began working in ethnically diverse salons to gain that knowledge and experience.

Her clientele grew even more when she started her own business, Jewel King Beauty LLC, and opened her own salon, which she ran for three years. She consistently proved that a beautiful style does not have to damage a person's natural hair if it is done correctly. Jewel's clients were confident that she would care for their hair and recommend the best possible regimen for their specific needs.

Beyond her own chair, Jewel is a salon educator. She teaches multi-cultural hair care and ethnic hair services to fellow beauty professionals through mobile and in-salon courses.

Jewel is not only a hairstylist but an artist as well. She recently moved to Portugal with her husband, a traveling nurse, and now also puts her creative talents to work as an art teacher and oil painter. Her love of art and genuine concern for people are what made her a great hairstylist, and her expertise across all hair textures is invaluable.
